Ziggy's Rescue Story
When Sasha found this old boy, he was abandoned and in terrible condition:

- Nearly blind with severely impaired vision
- Infected wounds and painful skin abscesses
- Ossification of the spine and a tumor
- Ear infection and poor blood counts
- Uncomfortable matted coat

Thanks to your generosity, we've provided Ziggy with:

✅ Urgent veterinary care and ongoing medical treatment
✅ Antibiotics for his infections and skin abscesses
✅ Regular therapeutic baths that soothe his skin condition
✅ A safe, warm place to rest with a soft basket in a heated room
✅ Special high-quality food, vitamins and supplements

While Ziggy still needs ongoing care to improve his blood values and heal his skin, his spirit shines through! Despite being a blind senior, he wags his tail and shares love with everyone around him.
His therapeutic baths have become a highlight, providing both physical relief and comfort. After all his hardship, Ziggy finally knows what it means to be cared for and loved.

Sasha rescued this poor, poor, senior Golden Retriever trying to cross a busy street filled with cars. He was lucky not to be hit

He immediately took him to the vet for a checkup, and the results were devastating.

He is mostly blind, with severely impaired vision. He has infected wounds, ossification of the spine, a tumor, an ear infection, and poor blood counts. At 16 years old, he was abandoned in this terrible condition—left to fend for himself in the cold, with no food or water, and almost run over by a car

It breaks my heart to see how someone could betray their faithful companion like this, discarding him when he needed them most. I need your help to cover his veterinary costs and therapies, food, etc... Every contribution counts. Please, let’s show him the kindness he deserves

Today I want to put under the spotlight one of our dogs waiting for a forever home: his name is Brundo and he's such a lovely boy: quiet, obedient, doesn't bark and has spent many years in the shelter.
He was saved years ago from a terrible shelter, where he was very sick and now he just wants to find a warm sofa where to snuggle with his human.

Hello, I'm Brundo and I'm getting a bit older, but with age comes wisdom, they say.
I get along well with other dogs and I'm not picky.
Whether it's a male or female dog that I have to share my home with, it doesn't matter.
I'm a calm dog who also loves people, but I will approach them at my own pace.

I'm thrilled to share some exciting news about our winter wood fundraising campaign (https://www.gofundme.com/f/winter-wood-for-sashas-dogs) for Sasha's dogs - we have reached 86% of our goal!
Thanks to our supporters' incredible generosity, we're already providing warmth for our furry friends as the cold weather sets in. It's heartwarming to see the dogs, especially our seniors, gathering around the warm stoves, finding comfort from the bitter cold.

For those who may not know, we need 60 cubic meters of wood to keep our 700+ dogs warm throughout the winter months. With 86% of our goal reached, we're so close to ensuring their warmth for the entire winter season. The sight of our short-haired residents huddling near the heat sources reminds us just how crucial this basic necessity is for their wellbeing.

You have no idea how happy we are about this! And yes, the first load of wood has already arrived. As you can see, the wood is more like a log with us, because yes, our dear workers still have to saw and chop them all in pieces.
A winter fitness workout, but it'll warm you up.

We probably have more than 100 dogs that are over 10 years in the shelter. How we would love to change their uncertain future..
We need however help for this. Now that another freezing winter is coming, can we change some senior's future ?
Meet Dzoni = Johnny for friends. He is 13 years in the shelter, a small never noticed dumped little dog. All he needs is 1 person to notice him. Willing to offer him a soft basket. - Thanks for sharing our project !

Only with monthly support we can continue to keep them safe and give them basic care. The dogs themselves do not ask for more, just a bit. 1€ per month. They will flood you with their love. From the moment they are born, their future is to be dumped. When left behind in boxes, next to the road, in fields, they are afraid, scared, they miss their mother.
They cling on to a human, because they know, a human can give food & care. Regardless how bad treated, they remain trustfull.

Let us be their hand, be their safety, let us act. Because we are all they have. Let us all find supporters and help for them. As they deserve it so much.

The little one has been dumped in 2024, together with dozens others.

Doggies in the rain.. what a horrible weather this year. We are transferring the Teaming donations to be used to renovate some doghouses and hopefully, if enough funds to build and renovate some more.
Always in need of infrastructure. Let us keep them dry, with a monthly small donation, we can do so much for them !

Easter bunny Sasha's biggest dream is to find 750 Teamers for his 750 dogs.

620 more Teamers to find ! can we do this ? can we EVER surprise him with many many people to turn their likes in 1€ or $ a month ?

Should you know of any organisations wanting to help with adoptions ? Especially with young dogs/puppies found on the streets etc.. - senior dogs who are there for 10-14 years, please get in touch.

They just want to live. They have done no harm. They are innocent souls. If only their mother would have been with them, she could be sterilized.

Puppies also deserve love, but in the wrong country, it is a struggle from the beginning.

Together we can give them care and with lots of luck perhaps a much better life.

We are desperately looking for help for adoptions also for many senior dogs.

Hello dear people, straw and wood arrived. The doghouses are being filled with straw, the first snow already arrived and all we can do is to hope that the winter will not be too severe. We hope we can collect some funds to buy some more dog kibble as well. As there is just for 3 days left. And Sasha's birthday is 18/12. We would love to surprise him with food donations.

In the meantime, puppy Beka, found on the streets this summer is so gratefull for the straw she received to keep her warm for her first hard winter in a shelter. Desperately help needed for adoptions of dogs as the shelter is more than full. Thank you for your help ! each € makes a difference !

Hi Everyone !
So contribution for Straw/hay and wood has been sent, and yes, Straw already delivered and soon the wood will be delivered for the hundreds of dogs.
Now we think of the hundreds of senior dogs who arrived 10-13 years ago to the shelter, yet another winter coming up for them. Hopefully they survive. And hopefully, somewhere someone would like to adopt an underdog, an invisible nobody dog. And make it visible, giving them a warm basket for the rest of their years.

110 Teamers for +700 dogs ! Can we get more teamers to help more dogs with 1€/month ? so that each dog in the shelter would have 1 Teamer ?
Now the weather is changing, we urgently need to buy Wood and Straw to keep the dogs warm in winter and to cook hot meals for them + give them some worth, some moments they can warm up a little bit. Your contribution and help really makes a huge difference !
