My friend Fergus moved to Cyprus in 2022 and has taken on the huge task, along with some other amazing people, to care for and TnR as many of the street cats as they can. Anyone who has been to Cyprus knows that it’s an overwhelming mission, and since the government does not support the cause, they pay for everything themselves. I (living in Barcelona) created this group to help them out a bit. I know the money will 100% go to the right cause and people.

Hola! Yo y otros voluntarios cuidamos y alimentamos colonias de gatos en Montjuïc, Barcelona - 14 gatos en total. Construimos refugios para protegerlos del mal tiempo. Si están enfermo/herido los atrapamos para llevarlos al veterinario, a veces con la ayuda de una asociación, pero a menudo carecen de recursos por lo que pagamos de nuestro bolsillo. Buscamos adoptantes para los gatos que no pueden vivir más en la calle. Y doy un trabajo a un hombre sin techo para ayudarnos a cuidar las colonias.

Cuando comenzamos hace tan solo unos meses, ¡nunca pensamos que terminaríamos ayudando a tantos animales! Primero comenzamos a rescatar palomas y otros pájaros, acto siguiente acogimos ratas, gaviotas, conejos, hurones y diferentes especies de loros. Muy pronto nos hicimos conocer por "aquellos" que ayudan a los invisibles, los no deseados o los olvidados. ¡Alguien tenía que hacerlo! Esto lo queremos cambiar, para no permanecer invisibles y seguir haciendo nuestro trabajo.
