Proyecto "Sed de Vida" en Boayase (Ghana) - ONG Bonwe

In the village of Boayase (Ghana), there is no access to clean water at all, and the entire community relies on a river some 350 metres from the village as the only source of water. The water is contaminated with parasites, and villagers often contract water-borne diseases, such as typhoid. With your help!!! we will build in a Phase I, an electric pump as part of the infrastructure project of the Educational and Sanitary Complex Infrastructure project that Ong Bonwe is building there.

With the completion of Phases I and II of Thirst for Life, the community maintains the facilities.

NGO Bonwe Ghana, two years after construction, is cleaning and maintaining the well and its facilities.

In Boayase they have worked very hard to complete Phase I and II of the Thirst for Life project: - Phase I saw the completion of the drinking water well and the community has been drinking clean water since June 2022. Last year the University of Ghana sent technicians to analyse the drinking water and found that the sediments, although normal for use, were too high in some minerals. The study revealed that the facilities should be maintained and the waste cleaned at least once a year. - The budget provided to us by our chairman in Bonwe Ghana, Agyei Darko, is: Ghc 4800 (€369), broken down into tank cleaning=Ghc 1300, minor repairs=Ghc 1800, transport=Ghc 600 and labour=Ghc 1100. - In addition, repairs have to be carried out on the motorbike Ghc 800, equivalent to 62 €, corresponding to the replacement of the battery, chain, tyres and fuel. Total needed = 450 €.

Buenas tardes queridos/as donantes fieles. Queremos informaros que seguimos avanzando pasito a pasito en la financiación de este proyecto tan especial. Nuestro pozo de energía fotovoltáica, está mas cerca de comenzar su construcción gracias a las donaciones recurrentes de 1€/mes que van realizando ustedes por esta plataforma, y a las que vamos recibiendo de otras plataformas de Crouwfunding, de donaciones particulares y de un evento solidario de Magia que celebramos el pasado 18/12/22. Queremos informarles, que el importe recopilado hasta ahora en Teamig (dónde ustedes colaboran), ha sido de un total de 230€, a los que hay que sumar un total de 648€ recibidos de nuestros donantes desde Irlanda, 150€ de nuestros donantes de Suiza, y 559€ recaudados en el Evento "La Magia del Agua". Además la venta de nuestra artesanía Bonwe ha supuesto este año 2021 una ayuda muy importante a esta causa, por lo que vamos avanzando gracias a su confianza y apoyo, que queríamos agradecer personalmente. Aún nos queda para llegar al objetivo del coste de 4.400 € que supone la primera fase de la construcción de la bomba eléctrica en Boayase, y después tendremos que abordar la segunda fase por un importe añadido en coste de unos 4.000 € más, pero lo vamos consiguiendo poco a poco.
