www.miradasalmundo.org We are volunteers who work in the most disadvantaged rural areas of Africa, where we face vital problems such as malnutrition, not having access to water, not having any type of medical assistance, lacking schools, no light, no latrines, no possibility of a small agriculture as there is no water and all this causes the population to be in a circle of extreme poverty where any help changes their reality. YOUR HELP IS A TREASURE FOR THEM, WE COUNT ON YOU.

Children in Guinea Bissau die of pneumonia from pneumonia and bronchitis, the consequences of simple colds. These are caused by getting wet in the rainy season, when working all day in the field. Younger children who go to the field with their breasts can not get rid of those colds that get complicated. They do not have access to health care and what starts with a cold for not having a raincoat ends in chronic bronchitis. The rains last 4 months.

Our objective is to get 500 solar lamps that allow mothers, children and girls in the ten villages of Guinea Bissau in which we work to study at nightfall. Battery-powered lanterns are currently used, but they cause serious pollution problems in villages, farming areas and in water. It is estimated that a common battery contaminates more than 3,000 liters of water. Solar lamps are a sustainable alternative and allow families to have light for 8 hours.

We have started a new project to support talibé children through the work carried out by a Guinean NGO with which we collaborate, AMIC. The idea of this group is to raise funds to repatriate and care for as many Talibé children as possible. In other words, the children receive psychological, medical and social assistance to guarantee their return to a life surrounded by their family. Drinking water is one of the least accessible resources in Guinea Bissau, especially in rural areas, and is the main source of deadly diseases: typhoid fever, cholera, etc. That is why Miradas al Mundo bets one more year on helping the population with the provision of drinking water wells of various types depending on their use: family, community, plantations/orchards, etc. In this case we want to raise funds to build a well for the women's garden of Dembanje
