Pfotenhilfe Naxos - help for the animals on Naxos & in Serres/Greece

The Naxos Animal Welfare Society (NAWS) is trying to unite the old and the new shelter. Some dogs need a “lobby” to their cage. This video shows the building a lobby, working in the heat under the sun with iron. The timelapse only shows the door, which is the last piece of work. Each lobby takes 2-3 hours to be completed.

Trees are being added to the shelter! A local store has donated nice trees, which have already been planted.

Update on the dog shelter area:
The partition between the dog shelter and the entrance area is completed. The cages are getting double fenced so that the dogs can move and romp freely inside.

Update on the Puppy Area
The protective roofs for the puppy area were finished in summer, as you can see in the video. Thankfully, they do not only protect the puppies from the sun, but also from bad weather now in autumn and winter (like wind and rain).

Since they are made of a special stable and heat-repellet material, they are very pricey. Many thanks to all the loyal supporters who made this possible.

New exciting news from the puppy area! The new puppy cares are now being prepared so the puppies can move in soon. After that, the next cages are already planned and new protections will be built.

Good news: The project PUPPY AREA starts now!
We are happy to announce that the construction of the much needed puppy house has just started !
36 x 36 metres with 9 enclosures of 78 m² each including shelters, huts and later a storage house - isn't that amazing ?
The first fences are in place, of course double fenced.
