The humanitarian emergency in the Mediterranean does not stop and our mission is to protect the lives of the most vulnerable at sea, and on land continues. Syria is at a crucial turning point in its recent history after the fall of the Al-Assad regime, with many challenges still ahead. 14 years of conflict have left 7 mill. people internally displaced and 16 mill. in need of humanitarian assistance. With increasing movements of Syrian refugee families returning to the country with minimal resources, a critical socio-economic situation and a winter that further complicates the situation, immediate assistance is urgently needed to protect them.
