In Spain, feral cats have a harsh and difficult life. I am trying to make that life a little bit better for some of them. I now have 41 cats of various ages and in various states of health. Vets bills are not cheap and my food bills and medication add to the costs of keeping them healthy & happy. Your help in keeping these, and others not part of my group (the feral colonies nearby, for example) fed, parasite free & medical care when necessary is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
In Valle Del Sol, as in many areas of Spain, the stray/feral cats have a harsh and difficult life. We are trying to make that life a little bit better for them by neutering as many of them as we can so they do not become a nuisance and to set up feeding stations so they get food, and are monitored, on a regular basis. All of these cats and young kittens have ticks, fleas and worms and many die of hunger and malnutrition; many have illnesses and diseases such as epilepsy, hyperthyroidism, calicivirous (possibly 70%), feline-HIV, leukaemia and many others! Seeing the condition of some of these cats, lone individuals, pregnant females and new mothers desperate to satisfy their hunger and that of their kittens is heart wrenching. Neutering and ridding cats of these parasites and illnesses costs money and having personally paid for the neutering & vaccination of 36 cats with numerous others in the "queue" we are asking for donations to help these cats live a better life.
