Caring for Street Cats Through TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return) and Feeding Programmes

Sotogrande Cat Care Society (SoCCS)

Sotogrande Cat Care Society (SoCCS) is a registered charity in Andalucía, Spain. We care for local street cats through TNR (Trap, Neuter & Return) and feeding programmes around Sotogrande. Our 30 volunteers work tirelessly to improve the lives of our less fortunate four-legged friends. Since our founding, we have neutered over 1,400 cats, preventing the birth of thousands of unwanted kittens who would otherwise face short, harsh lives on the streets. Each day, we feed more than 200 cats in monitored colonies, ensuring they have food, water, and care. We receive no government support, and our volunteers often cover costs from their own pockets. By joining our Teaming group for just €1 a month, you help us continue this vital work. Every euro goes directly to TNR and feeding — no salaries, no waste.

In the past six weeks, SoCCS has sterilised 41 cats, bringing the total to more than 1,400 since our inception.

That means tens of thousands — perhaps even hundreds of thousands — of unwanted kittens have not been born into lives of hunger, disease, and hardship on the streets.

All of this takes time, commitment, and money. Trapping, neutering, feeding, and ongoing care all come at a cost — and with no government support, we rely entirely on donations.

Our volunteers are unpaid and often make up shortfalls out of their own pockets.

We’re in the middle of a major neutering drive and want to keep the momentum going for as long as we can. The more cats we can sterilise now, the fewer will suffer later.

If you can, please support our work:

Donate via Donorbox: https://donorbox.org/soccs-donations

Join our Teaming group for just €1 /month: https://www.teaming.net/soccs

These platforms are completely safe and are used by thousands of charities for fundraising.

Even if cats aren’t your thing — and we understand entirely — our goal is one most people can agree on: preventing unwanted cats from being born means less suffering for everyone.
