The "Lifelong project" aims to sentence former farm animals to life imprisonment. The lifelong farm in the Salzburg region, about 45 minutes south of the city of Salzburg, currently offers 22 cattle a life as pets. The farm was previously run as a suckler cow farm and the calves were sold to the slaughterhouse or for fattening every year. In April 2020, breeding was stopped and the herd, consisting of ex-suckler cows and their young, is simply allowed to live.
Mit dem Projekt Lebenslänglich sollen ehemalige Nutztiere das Urteil Lebenslänglich bekommen. Der Lebenshof im Salzburger Land, ca 45 Minuten südlich der Stadt Salzburg, bietet 24 Rindern ein Leben als Haustier. Der Hof wurde vormals als Mutterkuhbetrieb geführt und die Kälber jährlich an den Schlachthof oder in die Mast verkauft. Im April 2020 wurde die Vermehrung gestoppt und die Herde, bestehend aus Mutterkühen und Jungtieren, darf einfach nur leben.
