Comité scientifique Pro Anima

The Pro Anima Scientific Committee is a French NGO created in 1989 promoting and funding non-animal methods, also called NAMs, helping to accelerate and improve research, drug discovery and toxicology. Pioneer in France, Pro Anima has published since 1994 Sciences, Enjeux, Santé, the only French magazine dedicated to non-animal research, with interviews with key players and an overview of the advances in NAMs. In 2013, Pro Anima founded the EthicScience Prize, which became the Descroix-Vernier EthicScience Prize in 2023, rewarding some of the most innovative research teams every two years. Pro Anima also coordinates a network of experts in NAMs and a series of “Science and Dialogue” discussion panels. Encouraging dialogue between operators and civil society on health issues, Pro Anima works at the French and European level. Le Comité Pro Anima propose des ateliers de sensibilisation, en ligne et gratuits, autour des méthodes non-animales

Le but ?
✅ Informer et sensibiliser sur les récentes technologies et recherches n’utilisant pas de tests sur les animaux
✅ Mettre en lumière leurs bénéfices pour la recherche et la santé
✅ Fournir des connaissances, et des clés, adaptées aux profils des publics, pour participer à une plus grande reconnaissance de ces recherches et technologies

Pour qui ?
☀️ Le projet est adressé aux étudiants de filière scientifique, aux adultes, mais aussi aux décideurs publics, dans l’objectif d’ ouvrir les ateliers à un public le plus large possible, car il est essentiel qu’un maximum de personnes soient sensibilisées à ces enjeux d’éthique et de santé publique

Où et Quand ?
A partir du printemps 2024, à distance, par l’intermédiaire d’un logiciel de visio-conférence

Quelles seront les activités ?
▶️ L’ambition, au-delà d’apporter des connaissances sur les NAMs, est d’ouvrir un véritable dialogue constructif entre les participants avec des diaporamas, des jeux, et des quiz interactifs

☀️ Thomas Chardon Legrand (Université Paris-Saclay) et ☀️ Julia Fernandez (Université de Bordeaux), médiateurs scientifiques alternant et en stage
