The Molecular Oncology group at the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Aragón (IISA Aragón) is working on new tools to diagnose and treat different types of cancer (pancreas, lung, sarcomas, metastatic breast cancer, glioblastoma, neuroblastoma and childhood brain tumours). In particular, your euro helps us in the ‘Virtual Biopsy’, to see the invisible cancer and obtain a tool for fluorescence-guided surgery. Will you join us?
The "Virtual Biopsy" project aims to develop new diagnostic tools and treatments for the most lethal cancers. By combining the sensitivity of advanced imaging techniques with the specificity of antibodies targeting tumor markers, we can generate a 3D snapshot of the entire tumor. This allows us to understand its biology, identify its weaknesses, and predict whether it will respond to a given treatment. Additionally, we are working on modifying fluorescent nanoantibodies to assist during surgery, helping surgeons determine whether they have completely removed the tumor or if any remnants remain. These breakthroughs could significantly improve the lives of many cancer patients. Cancer research is extremely costly, and launching new projects is challenging. Your support can help us explore innovative ideas and accelerate ongoing projects. Together, we can make a real impact on cancer diagnosis and treatment. Join us in making this possible!
