Nellys Trust is a non profit organisation based in Croatia, created to look after the street cats of Bol and Dubrovnik. We have been operating since 2020 and until now have been mostly self funded, but to continue to carry on the TNR operation, alongside the feeding and medical care, we desperately need to raise funds. Hello All,
It's been a while since our last update, hopefully you've all been following along on our instagram account to see what we've been up to. If not, please do have a look as we post on there quite regularly.
Looking back 2024 was a very busy year, we had a lot of sadness and a lot of joy. Quite a few cats and kittens were killed last year by cars and by illness, two of the kittens we adopted also sadly passed away. However, we met some just amazing people through the summer and we were able to place 14 cats and kittens into forever homes. Most going abroad, but also, some wonderful people in the village agreed to adopt kittens that had been dumped.
We haven't let up on the TNR either, although last year was quieter, we still took 53 cats to the vet to be sterilised. This is now slowly starting to have an impact on the population here, it's starting to stabilise and slightly reduce as the volume of new cats arriving every year is dropping.
We still feed and look after about 100 cats on a daily basis, so even though its just 1 euro a month, it really adds up and we couldn't do it without your amazing and continued support.
