María was born in July 2021, a few weeks old she was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy due to merosin deficiency. María's illness has no cure, but this is not an impediment for her to be happy. The purpose of this group is to provide María with the different orthopedic products that she needs and to cover the cost of the usual medical trips. The next goal for Maria is to acquire a dynamic movement orthosis (DMO), this will help her maintain more correct postures and keep her back in good position.
