We formed as an emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact this has had on the captive Livingstone Lions. These lions were part of a conservation programme which relied on revenue from tourists. However, the tourist industry has disappeared. We have come together to look after these lions and ensure their health and safety.
It costs around £50 to feed one of the captive lions situated in Livingstone, Zambia, each month. There are 39 of them! We do not have any other source of income other than donations to keep these lions fed and looked after. Please join our Team and/or consider sponsoring a lion, donate, or buy a t-shirt or a tote bag, and help us to keep your lion healthy and safe. All money goes directly to lion food and veterinary care. You are literally buying a lion, dinner!
