We are a charity based in the Dordogne area of France. Our aim is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome neglected, mistreated and abandoned donkeys.
HeeHaws is a donkey refuge and rehoming project based in South-West France where abandoned, ill treated or donkeys that can no longer be cared for by elderly or unwell owners can be looked after, either for life, or for an interim period of rehabilitation before being re-homed in carefully vetted domestic situations. All donkeys on arrival have a vet assessment, care from a farrier as well as dietary requirements for their specific needs.
