The Homeless Feline Shelter was developed with the purpose of offering a temporary home to street cats. Initially, the shelter had 10 feline specimens, but currently only 3 remain. The decrease in the number of cats is due, in part, to the formation of new feline colonies in the surrounding areas. However, the exact number of members in these colonies is unknown. The shelter continues to operate with the goal of protecting and providing veterinary care to homeless cats, promoting adoption and animal welfare. The new colonies represent a challenge in terms of monitoring and control, since the lack of information about their size makes it difficult to implement support and care measures.
