During October and November, more cats were neutered from 2 cat colonies. The total number was 46 cats, who were returned to their areas and are fed daily by local volunteers.
We also had 2 hospitalizations in the vet clinic. One cat with a diaphragm hernia and one cat with a damaged lower jaw.
During TNR programs we often meet injured cats that need additional vet care to recover.
We are happy to have completed one more TNR (=trap-neuter-release) program for stray cats in Athens' north area. A new cat colony was spotted by a volunteer during summer and when the extreme heat was over, the neuterings took place.
A total of 25 feral cats have been neutered, most of them females, and have been returned to the familiar area with a chance for a healthier life.
Our heartful thanks to everyone for making this project possible!
More neuterings were made during the last 2 months. 46 cats were neutered, given first aid if needed, and then returned to their areas.
We do make a difference together!
During a TNR program we met a male cat with broken back leg struggling to walk.
An orthopedic surgery took place and then male Otis was taken into foster care for recovery.
Male Otis is recovering very well and doing his physiotherapy on the stairs!
Cuddly with his foster, shy with strangers, happy and playful, and enjoying his cat friends!
May thanks to everyone for contributing to the expenses of his back leg surgery!
Thanks to the help of GAR we managed quite some neuterings the last 2 months. The truth is that behind TNR, there is always a background.
GAR pays for the neuterings only. Pet taxi needs to be paid and all surgeries or hospitalization that come across the program.
This time for the 80 cats we ended up with an extra amount of 700e.
The "outsider" cases were:
- 1 blind kitten
- 2 one eye kittens
- a feral adult cat with low haematocrit and neurological symptoms
- a cat with teeth problem
The vet does only neuterings in a minimal space, so all the rest go to a clinic to have one anaesthesia and do everything together.
Your help by donating € 1,= a month is therefor so important, it helps us to help those special need kittens
Thank you for doing what you do, it must be so hard on you, not only the neuterings, but also helping the injured ones. Came across the story of NEMO, such a sad one. Hoping people are willing to donate something more then only € 1 a month.

Dear People,
We really need you here. A couple of weeks ago there was a cry for help. 3 ladies with psychological issues have over 60 cats, most unneutered and sick cats. Bills not paid, the situation is terrible. ASK stepped forward, but they can't do it alone. When having facebook, you can follow all by following this link. https://www.facebook.com/groups/188207141750448/ We really need your support. Every euro is one.
Please, help ASK to pay the Vetbill of Amber,Belle and Hope.
3 little girls who went through a lot already.
What they share? All 3 were found with infections in their eyes. Sadly enough we didn't found them in time to save their eyes with antibiotics.
Despite our low means of donations we had to operate them, so they would be painfree and could grow up safely without to many issues.
Leaving us with a Vetbill of € 480,= still to pay.
When you would like to spend a little bit towards their costs, Amber, Belle and Chloe would be very gratefull, and ofcourse also their rescuers.
Make a difference, be a part.
Donations can be done through PayPal, be sure you donate through friends or family otherwise they will keep a percentage.

Thank you.
Thank you all for joining us.
Luckily Athina escaped from the fires herself, but she fostered some of the kittens found in those areas. Some sadly didn't make it, others are still recovering from the burned parts/paws and their respiratory problems.
Last weekend there was a neutering program again and many kittens were helped. No more unwanted kittens anymore for them.
Thanks to your donations, we could help some more and having the number of strays down. Please forward our news to friends and family so they are willing to join. <3
We are slowly growing, hoping you all share with your friends.
Now during Covid time the kittens of Greece have even a much more harder time, as well as their fosters. Every penny is so welcome, when you want, extra donations can always be made at paypal or to our bankaccount. Thank you all so much. Have a lovely december month and happy holidays.
Slowly growing I noticed. We are up to 75 members. Lovely news. Thank you all in name of ASK, hoping we reach 100 members. <3 <3
Little Sevin needs your help!
Sevin is a 10-month-old kitten that was found in the streets of Athens. He was limping and approaching people for cuddles. We took him to the vet where an X-ray revealed an older fracture from an accident.
Surgery is needed and scheduled on 19th March in order to prevent early arthritis.
Cost: 250 Euros, adding up to the other surgeries of Pier and Nemo.
On top of that his left eye is watery due to an injury. Once his hip has recovered, he will possibly need eye surgery as well.
So young and life has already been so hard for him.
Sevin is such a sweet and adorable boy. He deserves a happy and joyful future without any pain.
With your help we can make this happen!
A huge thank you from Sevin!
Thank you all so much for wanting to help the kittens, very muchg appreciated
Slowly growing, but happy to announce the first payment is used for the neuterings. We also have another event, donate 1 ♥️ for a cat, to be found on the facebook page. To give the not adopted kittens a great Valentine, if you want to join, you're so welcome.
For the moment we foster more than 50 kittens and several adult cats who need eye surgery. This costs a lot of money. Any financial support is more than welcome.
Happy to hear that slowly people find their way to ASK. The money is so very welcome. When reaching € 30,= 1 kitten can be neutered, did you all know this?
A lot of our time and financial means are spent on a TNR-program. During our last action 11 stray cats were neutered.
Welcome to our new Teamers. Together we sure can make a difference. Please ask your friends to join as well. <3
How can the amount of the donation can be raised?
It can't Christian, If you want, there is a way to do in an other way, I will PM you. The raise the amount, we need more Teamers.
Teaming is an online tool to raise funds for helping social causes with micro donations of 1€ a month. Our philosophy is based on the idea that with 1€, If we are alone... we can't do too much but if we join together, we can make beautiful projects possible. is written
