At SECAC, we are dedicated to the research and conservation of cetaceans, with a focus on sperm whales, which face serious threats from collisions with fast ferries. Our work takes place in a global hotspot for marine biodiversity, making this area a key point for their protection. Despite our strong commitment and the study of all cetacean species, we face the challenge of needing substantial resource investment and are seeking support for this vital work.
