The El Pájaro Azul Foundation is an Asturian NGO that was born in Oviedo in 2009. Like you, we are aware that we live in a world of deep inequalities and we believe that between all and all it is possible to introduce changes.We open roads to hope by building bridges from Asturias to the African continent, especially in R.D. from Congo where we are working with street children, mentally ill, women and promoting education with schools and libraries.
El objetivo es contribuir a la mejora de la alfabetización de niñas, niños y jóvenes mediante actividades de animación a la lectura en tres barrios de Kinshasa: Selembao, Bumbu y Kitambo; además de la biblioteca fija, cuenta con una biblioteca infantil itinerante que motiva a la infancia y juventud en situación de calle a la lectura. Se benefician más de 2.000 niñas, niños y mujeres jóvenes, tiene también programas educativos para jóvenes y formación del profesorado para una educación de calidad
