In Spain, more than 150,000 animals are abandoned every year. Most animal protection entities do not have a shelter. We rescue dogs and welcome them in our refuge, Bú Bup Parc, where they live happily, with care, daily walks and a large playground. We help them trust humans again. In addition to food, pipettes, visits to the vet etc., we need 2 tanks every month to have water (400 €), since we do not have access to the public water network.
The recipients of this project are the animals that we rescue due to abandonment and/or abuse. These dogs do not go to public shelters, since for many of them that would mean continuing living in poor conditions. Fundación Altarriba welcomes the animals in Bú Bup Parc shelter, where they live happily, in the middle of nature, with great care from a fantastic team and wonderful volunteers. Help us maintain an ethic shelter where animals have good conditions, care and affection until they find their ideal family.

We had a school visit from "Forallac School". We want to share with you the reflection written by their students:
"The 5th grade boys and girls of Escola Forallac were very lucky to visit Bú Bup Parc. Throughout this school year we have been researching the Altarriba foundation and, finally, on Thursday, May 9th, the children were able to make the long-awaited visit. It must be said that it was very exciting, as we met the dogs of the shelter and understood the importance of the work they do there. We are now aware of the great work they do (sometimes perhaps misunderstood and dare we say undervalued).
In addition, during the visit we were able to see very beautiful dogs and we were able to interact with a few; some were shy, others were eager to enjoy our attention, there were some who really wanted to play... But what we did see in their eyes is gratitude, both towards us that visited them that day and showered them with cuddles, as towards their caregivers and volunteers who care for them day after day"
