Kalaweit fights to save the gibbons and their forest in Indonesia. The culture of palm oil threatens the forests and the survival of wild animals. Chanee, founder of Kalaweit is French. More than 350 gibbons from the traffic of Wild fauna, are in care in Kalaweit. Every year Kalaweit spends around 100 000 € just for the food and cares for the animals. The association creates protected areas to save the forest from destruction, reaching more than 2,000 protected hectares.
