A rescue centre and sanctuary for dogs on the east Algarve.... our objective is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs that have been lost, abandoned, found as strays, neglected, abused, ill and/or injured.

We are a private rescue centre and sanctuary for dogs that are abandoned, lost, injured, ill, abused and neglected. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome the beautiful dogs that arrive at our door. After Vet checks, vaccinations and treatments, specific diets are planned when necessary and dogs are assessed.... cuddled and loved! No adult dog leaves our centre without first being sterilised, at our own cost. Cacela Dog Haven relies entirely on the generosity of our friends and supporters - in Portugal, there is no government financial assistance for a private centre such as ours. Any donations that we receive through Teaming would be used for dog food and Veterinary bills.
