Spain faces one of the most devastating natural disasters in recent decades. DANA has left thousands of people in a critical situation, the damage is incalculable. The Action Against Hunger emergency team has moved to the area to support the work of our delegation. Drinking water, food and urgent psychosocial support are needed. Our extensive experience in emergencies has allowed us to act quickly, be in coordination with local authorities and entities, and cover the most immediate needs of the affected population. "The main problem is sanitation. Organizations like ours propose a water and sanitation plan, we transfer it to the Ministry of Health, they approve it, and in collaboration with city councils and health centers it is implemented," he says.
